YLA ended OH Leuven’s unbeaten run in the first match of the ninth matchday.
The West Flemish women took an early lead thanks to the Guns, but Kuijpers brought the OHL along. Even before half-time, the same Kuijpers had to leave the field injured.
Meanwhile, Angel Kerkhof gave the home team the lead again, but an own goal leveled the scores at half-time.
In the second half, it was again Kerkhof who gave the club the lead, but this time also OH Leuven did not give up. Detroiter scored after a corner kick stuck in front of the goal.
However, the devil was on his tail. 5 minutes before the end it was Davina VanMechelen who won for YLA. It even went from point 5-3.
The first defeat for the OHL team that remained in the lead. The club does not make significant progress in the classification due to the victories of the surrounding teams, but it will undoubtedly receive a strong boost from this result.
Earlier today, Standard Woluwe visited Scléssin. In that match, the spotlight went to Noemi Guelders, who contributed to an easy 3-0 victory with a wonderful goal. Enjoy the video below.
