Many opportunities for Belgium
Belgium increases the pressure under the influence of the strong Malik Fofana. The AA Gent suite offers some opportunities and indications for the best option itself. His left-footed shot was cleverly saved by the Malta goalkeeper. We still have to wait for the editorial goal.

End of the first half: 0-0
There are no halfway goals in Malta which is very surprising. The Young Devils consistently had the upper hand and created a number of scoring chances through Stassen, De Winter and others. Just before half-time, Spillers also headed wide of the goal. End of the first half 0-0.

Stasin on this post!
The first try of the evening was Belgium’s – and what a try it was. Spillers crosses the goal and Stassen puts his header facing the goal. The Westerlo striker’s attempt hit the post not once, but twice. Double bad luck for Stassen and the promises.

Ranking of qualifying group Belgium
When they visit Malta, a footballing dwarf, the Belgians cannot afford to make a mistake if they do not want to lose touch with Spain and Hungary, the group’s leaders. Like Scotland, Belgium played just one match, and Spain and Hungary played two matches each.
The winners of the nine groups qualify directly for the 2025 European Championship, along with the three best second-placed teams. The other runners-up play jumps for the final four tickets.
1. Spain – 6
2. Hungary – 6
3. Belgium – 3*
4. Scotland – 3*
5. Kazakhstan – 0
6. Malta – 0

Now that Keita and Vermeeren are Red Devils, captain Franks and Matazzo are back in the team. Romenz, Stassen (Westerlo) and Engels (Augsburg) will also be given a starting place.
