The last professional race of 2023 fell to Austrian Lukas Postelberger (Jaico-Alula). Behind him, his teammate Zdenek Stybar said goodbye to road cycling with a third-place finish.
Many big names will no longer travel to the Hong Kong Cyclothon, the last UCI race of 2023.
Jayco-AlUla was the only WorldTour lineup at the start and shut down the entire race.
With a single, Lukas Pöstlberger achieved his first win in two years. In the competition for second place, Jayco-Al-Ula was able to play with three pawns in a group of 10 knights.
The team awarded the 36-year-old Zdenek Stybar A photo of the podium at his last ever road race. The Czech qualified for the final with Australian Ken Richards, losing the sprint to finish second.
Stybar took third place on the podium and celebrated it as a victory. Beautiful farewell.
