Zelensky: Russia is using Ukraine as a training ground to attack other European countries – Belgium agrees to Finland and Sweden joining NATO | Ukraine and Russia war

“Russia is using Ukraine as a training ground to attack other European countries.” This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his daily video address on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Belgium ratified the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO.

Russia is testing everything to engage other countries. It started with gas wars and ended with a massive invasion, missile terrorism, and the conflagration of Ukrainian cities.”

The Ukrainian president stressed that Ukraine must also defeat Russia so that other countries are safe. “The earlier this happens, the less damage European families and European countries will experience.”

Zelensky once again expressed his gratitude for the US-supplied HIMARS missile systems. However, he also insisted on providing air defense systems. Agreements with international partners have already been concluded. “But looking at the Russian attacks, it takes a very different speed and a completely different level of protection,” Zelensky said.

“hunger Games”

His wife, in a speech before the US Parliament, likened the Russian aggression in her country to the American movie series in which people hunt each other. And it sounded like “this is the ‘Hunger Games in Russia'”.

Olena Zelenska also showed a video of a seriously injured 3-year-old. He is now learning in Germany how to use prosthetics. “How many children are like him in Ukraine? How many families can still be destroyed by war? Stop this terror against Ukrainians.”

The Chamber approves the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO

On Wednesday, the full chamber approved the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO. There were 121 votes in favor. PVDA only voted against it.

NATO member states have already given the green light to Finland and Sweden to join the alliance at the Madrid summit at the end of June. The two northern European countries are historically militarily neutral, but were forced to join NATO due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Not every NATO member country has yet ratified the accession of Sweden and Finland. In our country, the Federal Cabinet gave the green light earlier this month.
